Are you ready to test your skills and have fun with archery? Then join the Manitoba ASA Tour, the ultimate archery challenge in central Canada!
The Manitoba ASA Tour is a series of four archery shoots, following the ASA Archery Competition format, that will take place in different regions of Manitoba from May to August. After the tremendous success of the inaugural 2024 tour, the 2025 edition is set to be even bigger and better!
What’s New for 2025?
Building on last year’s success, the first three stops of the 2025 tour will now feature optional team round events on the Saturday before the main event on Sunday. This exciting addition allows participants to team up and compete in a fun and challenging new format, fostering team spirit and providing even more competition.
Enhanced Venue Experience!
In 2025, we’re also enhancing the venue experience for archers and spectators alike. Look forward to family-friendly activities, prize draws, food vendors, and more, making each tour stop a full-day event for both competitors and their supporters.

Archery Canada ASA Rule Modifications are rules that apply to ASA 3D archery tournaments in Canada. ASA 3D archery is a form of archery that involves shooting at 3d animal targets with different scoring rings. The rules cover the following aspects of the tournaments:
Format: ASA tournaments consist of two rounds of 20 targets each, or three rounds of 20 targets each for two-day tournaments. Each round has a shotgun start, meaning all archers start simultaneously from different targets. Archers are assigned to ranges and targets based on their shooting class and registration order.
Classes: ASA has different categories and classes of competition based on the type of bow, sight, stabilizer, and yardage used by the archers. Each class has its specifications and restrictions for the equipment and the maximum distance to the target. Some classes have unknown yardages, meaning the archers have to estimate the distance, while some have known yardages, meaning the distance is marked or provided.
Scoring: ASA uses 20 McKenzie 3d animal targets with scoring rings of 14, 12, 10, 8, and 5 points. A miss is counted as zero. The total score is the sum of the points from each target. Archers must score their arrows according to the ASA scoring rules and resolve any disputes with the help of a group captain or a judge. Archers must report their scores to the scoring trailer and sign their scorecards.
Weather: The tournament director can delay or cancel a tournament round in severe weather. If a round is suspended, all archers must leave the range immediately and leave their arrows in the target. The tournament director has two hours to decide whether to resume, complete the round the next day, or cancel the round. If a round is cancelled, the scores are calculated based on the completed rounds and the percentage of competitors in each class.
Conduct: All archers must follow the dress code and conduct themselves sportsmanlike. No intoxicating substances, smoking, vaping, or electronic cigarettes are allowed on the field of play, practice range, or other designated areas. Breach of this rule may result in loss of accreditation or further action by Archery Canada or the Provincial Association.
Changes: Archers may change their shooting class only once during the tournament season unless required by a rule or approved by the competition committee. No points from a previous class will be carried forward toward the ASA Shooter of the Year in the new class.
