SUMMARY:2024 Canada Cup West
DESCRIPTION:The Canada Cup West consists of one (1) 720 Target qualification round\, Individual Match Play\, and Mixed Team Match Play. The 720 Qualification round will be used to determine the archers qualifying positions for Individual Elimination Matchplay\, as well as their team rank for the Team Match Play. \nIn addition to the Canada Cup events\, the Local Host Organizing Committee will be hosting two additional events. Those are the “Optional 720” open to all archers\, and the CanWest Youth Cup\, a U15 exclusive event. Matchplay rounds are head-to-head (two archers per group)\, shooting 5 ends of 3 arrows for a total score cumulative score of 150 (compound) or first to 6 matchplay points (recurve). These matchplay rounds are for fun\, development\, and practice for more significant events such as provincials or national events. Due to the size and variety of our local events\, matchplay at the club level is integrated\, meaning ages and genders are often combined. The integrated format does include a distance and target face handicap\, meaning archers shoot the distance and target of their age category regardless of their opponents.
