It consists of seventy-two total arrows\, each worth a maximum of ten points shot at a distance of 70 meters (approx 77 yards) for recurve archers and 50 meters for archers using compound bows. The maximum score is 10×72=720 points\, where the round’s name is derived. \nFormat\nThe 720 Round is a Target Round (i.e. not a Field Archery Round) meaning an archer shoots at only one target for the entire round and shoots from level ground. Multiple archers will shoot at the same 122cm target (Recurve) or 80cm target (Compound) during a 720 Round. \nA 720 Round consists of 12 ends of 6 arrows for a total of 72 arrows at a standard 122cm 10-ring target: (12 ends x 6 arrows = 72 arrows). The distance and target size depending on the bow style. Archers shoot at a 122cm target @ 70 meters (Recurve) or 80cm target @ 50 meters (Compound) during a 720 Round. A perfect score of 72 arrows all hitting the 10 ring would be 720 points. \nThere is a 4 minute time limit for each end — which is plenty of time to shoot slowly with proper control. There’s no need to rush.

DESCRIPTION:Archery Manitoba and the Flatlanders Archery Club are proud to host the 2023 Manitoba 3D Provincial Open Championships on Sunday\, July 16\, 2023.  \n\nOut-of-province guests are welcome\, but you must be an Archery Manitoba Member to participate in championship ranking (medal standings).\nOnline Pre-Registration is mandatory for all competitive shooters – Registration for competitive archers closes Saturday July 15 at 4:00 PM \nNon-competitive are welcome to walk up and shoot the alternate course the competitors are on\, and the group as they please.\nWalk-ups welcome – 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.\nMembers competing in championship categories for medal standings will be grouped by event organizers\nThe tournament consists of 2 x 20 target courses for a total score of 440.\nCheck-in & practice begin at 8:00 AM. First\, 20 target start time is at 9:30 AM.
