SUMMARY:2020 Manitoba Indoor Target Championships & Manitoba Indoor Open
DESCRIPTION:Archery Manitoba is excited to announce the 2020 Manitoba Indoor Provincial Target Championships will be expanded this year to span two days over the Louis Riel Weekend (February 15 & 16\, 2020). The expanded event will include an 18M (600 Round) to determine Provincial Champions\, followed by the inaugural Manitoba Indoor Open individual match play event\, in addition to being a MICA host site. The venue this year will be the Sunnova Centre in East St. Paul (North Main Street at the Perimeter Highway). The venue offers an elevated event atmosphere\, which will include an archer access only field of play\, spectator observation deck\, canteen\, and live video display. SUMMARY:Coaching Course: Instructor of Beginner Archer
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever thought about coaching archery? We are looking for intermediate to advanced archers interested in coach training to help facilitate development at the club level. If you would like to get involved with coaching new archers in your community/club\, we are hosting the perfect course for you! \nCertified coach training ensures that instruction in our sport is delivered correctly and professionally. In addition to learning archery specific techniques\, the  National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Course includes athlete and program management skills that can be an asset in your personal and professional life. \nArchery Manitoba Coaching Coordinator\, Ron Cooney will be hosting a National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Instructor of Beginner Archer Course (Level 1) Course on the Weekend of February 22 & 23\, 2020. The sessions will be held in Winnipeg at the Sport for Life Center\, located at  145 Pacific Avenue. The course will run from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM both days at a cost of $100 per participant. \n“Instructor of Beginner Archers: By presenting several mini-lessons and demonstrations\, as well as observing interventions during shooting throughout the course of this workshop\, coaches/instructors will be prepared to introduce archery to athletes in a variety of settings\, including: clubs\, camps\, schools\, and other organized activities. \nPlease note\, there is a $50 rebate for candidates that complete their evaluation.
