On June 16, Archery Manitoba hosted ASA Tour Stop #2 at the picturesque Winnipeg River Archers Club in Powerview-Pine Falls, Manitoba. This event marked the first 3D archery competition hosted by the club in 17 years, drawing nearly 60 archers from across the region.
The weekend began with a club fun shoot on Saturday, offering 3D archers an opportunity to enjoy multiple rounds in the stunning Interlake location. The Winnipeg River Archery Club’s leaders and volunteers, under the guidance of Tom Paukovic, excelled in organizing a top-notch IBO course and assisting with the ASA tour event. Their efforts extended to providing quality food and prizes, creating an unforgettable experience for all participants.
Despite challenging conditions, including wet weather and heavy bugs, the archers’ spirits remained high. ASA Tour Director Sean Murray praised the club, stating, “The club did a fantastic job setting up a great venue, and despite wet and heavy bug conditions, archers were coming off the course with a smile. We hope this region and club will see increased participation next year following the positive feedback we have been receiving.”
Archery Manitoba extends heartfelt thanks to the Winnipeg River Archery Club, particularly Tom Paukovic and his team, for their exceptional work. Special recognition goes to Sean Murray and Range Marshall Chris Sandison for their dedication, which was instrumental in the event’s success.
