2019 Manitoba Provincial 3D Archery Championship

July 23, 2019

Seventy five archers from around the province descended upon Eternal Springs Park near Virden, Manitoba this past weekend to compete at the 2019 Manitoba 3D Archery Championship. Host club Fort La Bosse Wildlife Association laid out a fantastic and challenging course in the picturesque park near Virden, with the goal of testing the Province’s best. The event hosted just over 60 shooters in a variety of competitive categories, while seeing an additional 14 participants participate as non-competitive and 2020 North American Indigenous Games Qualifiers. The organization is pleased to see the Championship event increasing in participation this year, as the Fort La Bosse event was the highest attended since 2009, and the second most since 2001. Our organization would like to acknowledge and apologize to the Fort La Bosse Wildlife Association and any competitors disappointed by the cancelled awards ceremony, we missed a great opportunity to showcase our best shooters and close out a great event.

The ABAM Executive Committee, 3D Committee and Staff would like to thank the Dale Chadeny, Leon Laffin, the Fort La Bosse Wildlife Association, its volunteers, and its sponsors for their hard work and support of the event.  Specifically, Andrew Agencies, ERCO, Virden Eyecare, Tundra Oil & Gas, Virden Home Hardware, Klassen Water, Corex, Sunrise Credit Union, Virden Ford, Virden Chrysler Dodge, Mainline Motors, Fountain Tire, Bicks Auto, Wilkinson Drywall and Wolverine Supplies. The organization and the Fort La Bosse Wildlife Association would like to send a special thank you to Saskatchewan Archery Association Provincial Judge Joe St.Onge  for making the trip from Moosomin to officiate the event.

The event results have been posted on the ABAM 3D Results Page at:
